The Defender Security U 9977 Brass Lock and Door Reinforcer is designed to assist in preventing forced entry by reinforcing the weakest point of an entry door. It can be used to reinforce and repair both metal and wood doors. Constructed of solid brass, the lock reinforcer plate comes with a brass finish. All necessary mounting hardware is included for a quick and easy installation, with the plate pre-punched for mounting. This reinforcer is specifically designed for 1-3/4 inch thick doors with mortise or drive-in latches, featuring two bores of either 1-1/2 inch or 2-1/8 inch that are 6 inches apart, with a 2-3/4 inch backset. The door reinforcer is non-recessed, providing added security to prevent forced entry and accommodating key-in-knob locksets or deadbolts on wood or metal doors.
